Biden says China is not yet ready to work on a just peace in Ukraine

The United States does not observe China's willingness to work to achieve a just peace between Russia and Ukraine.

This was stated by White House Strategic Communications Advisor John Kirby, RBC-Ukraine reports citing Voice of America.

According to him, the United States welcomes the efforts of China or any other country to end the war in Ukraine, taking into account the peace formula proposed by Kyiv.

He added that Washington will support Beijing if it is willing to work toward a just peace and respects the goals and objectives of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"But I would be wrong to tell you that we have actually seen China move in that direction - we have not seen that," Kirby emphasized.

He clarified that the United States, for its part, will continue to help Ukraine defend itself against Russian aggression and work to achieve a peace that meets the goals of the Ukrainian people.
