This was stated by French President Emmanuel Macron, RBC-Ukraine reports citing Le Figaro.

The French president clarified that the Chinese authorities have pledged to strictly control the export of dual-use goods that can be used for military purposes.

In the context of the war in Ukraine, Macron said that he is committed to maintaining a close dialogue with China, and Paris intends to use Xi Jinping's visit to ensure that Beijing does not move to explicitly support Russian military efforts.

"I thank you for this moment of coordination that you wanted before Vladimir Putin visits China, which will also allow us to have a common agenda and to be able to determine the desire or unwillingness to move towards this sustainable peace," Macron added.

The French president assured that the West has no plans to change the regime in the Kremlin.

Is Macron that naive?
