Not only Donbas. Russia wants to seize Zaporizhzhia region this year - Pavliuk

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavliuk, commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in an interview with The Times.
According to Pavliuk, the main goal of the Russians remains the destruction of Ukrainians as a nation. Ukrainian troops have not given the occupiers such an opportunity since 2022.
According to Pavliuk, the Russian occupation forces want to take full control not only of the eastern regions of Ukraine, but also of Zaporizhzhia region.
“...we believe that the goals that the Russians have set for themselves this year are the complete occupation of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and, if they succeed, Zaporizhzhia region,” the general said.
