According to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, the enemy struck at the region's energy facilities. As a result of the Russian attack, settlements in Sumy, Romny and Okhtyrka districts were left without electricity. As a result, critical infrastructure facilities had to be switched to backup power.

"Water supply and hospitals will be provided with backup power in full. In addition, the city is deploying the stabilization points," the UGA informed.

According to Ukrenergo, the Russians damaged a high-voltage facility. Emergency repair work began immediately after the alarm went off. The power company promises to restore electricity to consumers in stages.

"Thanks to the coordinated and professional actions of the emergency services and power engineers, power supply was restored in the affected areas and partially in the city of Sumy at night. The works are ongoing," said the Sumy Regional State Administration.
