Russia may be helping China prepare for an attack on Taiwan

US intelligence officials believe that Russia and China are cooperating more closely on military issues, including a possible invasion of Taiwan.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Bloomberg.
"This is the first time we've seen China and Russia cooperate on Taiwan and recognize that this is a place where China definitely wants Russia to cooperate with them, and we see no reason why they wouldn't," said Director of National Intelligence Avril Haynes.
Haynes added that intelligence assessments point to "growing cooperation in a 'borderless' partnership" between Russia and China in really all sectors of society. In particular in
- political,
- economic,
- military,
- and technological sectors.
"Of course, there is such a possibility... The question of how likely it is, I think, depends on the scenario," she added.-
