The Moldovan Army will conduct exercises jointly with the US military

This month, Moldova will host a National Army exercise with the participation of military personnel from the United States.

This information was disseminated by the Ministry of Defense of Moldova, Ukrinform reports citing NewsMaker.

"From May 9 to 16, the National Army will take part in the Swift Response-2024 exercise, which is being conducted under the leadership of the US command in Europe and Africa. The exercises will be held on the territory of Moldova," the statement said.

The maneuvers will be attended by 400 soldiers of the Moldova Motorized Infantry Brigade, the Fulger Special Forces Battalion, and the 82nd Airborne Division. Two American C-130 Hercules aircraft will also be involved.

"The purpose of the exercises is to develop capabilities and increase interoperability between the military and to apply in practice modern techniques, methods, and procedures of individual and collective military training," the Defense Ministry said.
