3,200 Russian soldiers expressed a desire to surrender to the Ukrainian army in April. Vitaliy Matvienko, a spokesman for the state project "I Want to Live," said this at a press conference at the Military Media Center.
He noted that "in April, the number of appeals increased by 10% compared to March 2023 and amounted to 3,200 appeals."
According to Matvienko, the project has received more than 16,000 appeals and the website has been visited by more than 36 million users, including 32 million from the Russian Federation.
According to the results of a sociological survey of Russian prisoners of war conducted in April, 40% of respondents said they surrendered voluntarily.
