Air Force confirms destruction of the Russian missile Kinzhal

On the night of May 4, the Ukrainian military managed to shoot down a Russian Kinzhal air-to-ground missile for the first time.
This was stated by the Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk.
"I congratulate the Ukrainian people on this historic event! Yes, we have shot down the 'unparalleled' Dagger!" he said.
Oleshchuk said that it happened during a night attack on May 4 in the sky of Kyiv region. According to him, the X-47 missile was fired by a MiG-31K from the territory of Russia and was shot down with the help of a Patriot anti-aircraft missile system.
"And one more thing, there is no need to run, as they say in Ukraine: before the father goes to hell, to make public information that can be used by the enemy in advance! We will report what, where, with what, and when we shot down! Everything has its time," added Mykola Oleshuk.-
