"Renat Akhmetov's Steel Front has purchased British armored personnel carriers for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. 14 FV432 Mark 2 armored personnel carriers with spare parts worth UAH 53 million have been delivered to the 3rd Assault Brigade.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Steel Front initiative.
The FV432/434 Mark 2 armored personnel carrier is a British tracked armored vehicle designed to transport military personnel. It has a crew of up to 12 people, steel armor that provides protection against small arms and shrapnel, a top speed of up to 52 km/h, and a range of up to 480 km on a single tank of fuel. "The Steel Front provided funds to purchase them in the UK: 12 FV432 vehicles and two FV434 repair and evacuation vehicles.
"We found these armored personnel carriers in the UK and spent more than six months delivering them to Ukraine. The guys have been asking for armored tracked vehicles for a long time, which allows them to save lives in different parts of the frontline," says Oleksandr Vodoviz, a representative of the Steel Front and head of the project office of Metinvest Group CEO.
Thanks to its compact size and tracked undercarriage, the FV432 Mark 2 can move over difficult terrain, so it is used for a variety of tasks.
