Two-thirds of Republican primary voters say they support former U.S. President Donald Trump despite his recent criminal arrest and other judicial investigations.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing NBC News.
A national poll by NBC News showed that almost 70% of Republican Party voters could support Trump's candidacy in the US presidential election.
However, the Republican Party's enthusiasm for Trump contrasts with the dissatisfaction of a concerned nation with how the 2024 presidential race is shaping up overall.
According to the poll, a large majority of Americans do not want Trump or President Joe Biden to run for president in 2024.
Half of those who do not want 80-year-old Biden to run say that the president's age is the "main" reason, while Trump is currently 76 years old.
