Austin announces Ramstein agreement to train Ukrainian pilots
Denmark and the Netherlands will lead a European coalition to provide training for Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighters.
This was stated by Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin after the 12th meeting in the Ramstein format on Thursday, a Yevropeiska Pravda correspondent reports.
"I want to especially thank Denmark and the Netherlands, who have decided to lead the European coalition to provide F-16 training for Ukrainian forces. In the coming weeks, my Danish and Dutch colleagues will work with the United States and other allies to develop the framework for the exercise," Austin said.
He added that Norway, Belgium, Portugal, and Poland have also offered to contribute to the exercise.
"We expect more nations to join this initiative soon," the US Secretary of Defense emphasized.
