Belarus says Russian troops will start arriving in the coming days

Russian troops of the joint grouping will begin to arrive in Belarus in the coming days. This was reported by the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus on scientific work, Colonel Victor Tumar, UNN reports with reference to BELTA.
"At present, the decision to create a regional grouping of troops (forces) is being implemented in favor of strengthening the protection and defense of the state border of the Republic of Belarus to reduce military activity in the areas bordering us. I consider it necessary to note that in the coming days the troops of the Russian component of the Regional grouping of troops (forces) will begin to arrive on the territory of the Republic of Belarus," Tumar said.
According to him, they will undergo planned combat training aimed at improving the level of performance of tasks to protect the Union State.
