Germany and France will continue to stand on the side of Ukraine, the more Russia will commit its lawlessness against Ukrainians.

This was stated by German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock at a joint press conference with her French counterpart Stefan Sezhurne on Sunday in Berlin, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Putin does not abandon his war against people in Ukraine, he does not want to abandon it. It is all the more important that we continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine this year and as long as it takes until Russia backs down, "Baerbock said.

She added that Germany and France from the very beginning were united and united in supporting Ukraine "as a couple."

Baerbock noted that Sezhurne's visit to Kyiv during Russia's rocket terror is "an important sign of solidarity." Ukrainians in recent weeks have been experiencing the most powerful air attacks in 2 years, when Russia launches unprecedented attacks on civilian targets, she stressed.

"Quite consciously, according to quite normal life, according to quite normal people," the diplomat emphasized.

Baerbock also stated that when Europe is united and speaks with one voice, that voice is heard well throughout the world. This is very important in such turbulent times as now. The German minister especially noted the role of the Weimar Triangle (Germany-France-Poland).

The French Foreign Minister agreed that the two largest European countries should "help Ukraine as much as necessary."

He also agreed that both countries should speak with one voice, in particular, on the issue of the Middle East conflict.
