US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan discussed the Russia-Ukraine war with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi during a meeting in Malta on September 16-17.
According to Ukrinform, this is stated in a press release from the White House.
"The parties discussed key issues of bilateral relations between the United States and China, global and regional security, Russia's war against Ukraine, and problems in the Taiwan Strait," the communiqué reads.
It is noted that the United States emphasized the importance of peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait.
"Both sides pledged to maintain this strategic channel of communication and to continue additional high-level engagement and consultations in key areas between the United States and the People's Republic of China in the coming months," the White House added.-
