U.S. President Joe Biden believes that relations between the United States and China are on the "right trail" and suggests progress was made during a rare trip to Beijing by Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
This was reported by Reuters.
As the U.S. president noted, answering journalists' questions about the relationship between the two countries, "we are on the right trail here".
Regarding the Secretary of State's visit to the Chinese capital, asked by reporters whether he felt progress had been made, he replied, "It's been made".
At the same time, the US president praised Blinken, who traveled to Beijing and spoke with the country's leaders. In Biden's opinion, he "did a hell of a job".
The United States and China agreed on Monday to stabilize their "rivalry" so that it does not escalate into a conflict. At the same time, analysts and political observers note that the countries failed to achieve a major breakthrough.
