Blinken calls Putin's nuclear threats “irresponsible” and “ill-timed”

The threats of nuclear weapons by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin are “irresponsible”. The world needs more disarmament.

According to RBC-Ukraine, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said this in an interview with MSNBC.

Blinken condemned Putin's statement to the West about nuclear weapons as “irresponsible” and “ill-timed.” In particular, he reminded that many in the world were “rattling the nuclear saber”.

“I think many in the world have been clear about this when they have rattled the nuclear saber - including China in the past. So I would just urge them to do it now, when the world is gathered... to talk about the need for more disarmament and non-proliferation,” he said.
