On Monday, April 17, the White House criticized the statements of Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva in which he accused the United States of "encouraging war in Ukraine".

This was stated by the coordinator of the National Security Council of the White House, John Kirby, reports RBC-Ukraine with reference to NDTV.

"In this case, Brazil is parroting Russian and Chinese propaganda without at all looking at the facts," he said.

During his visit to China, Silva said that the United States should stop "encouraging war" in Ukraine and "start talking about peace". This way they would supposedly be able to "convince" the Russian and Ukrainian presidents.

Afterwards, Silva called for the creation of a "G20" for peace in Ukraine with the participation of Latin American countries, China and the UAE.
