"breakthrough" of the border in Kursk region is not an escalation

The US Department of Defense does not believe that the "breakthrough" of the border in the Kursk region and the fighting that has been going on there for three days are an escalation of Russia's war against Ukraine.
This was stated by Deputy Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing Twitter (X) of Voice of America correspondent Ostap Yarysh.
"We do not believe that this is in any way an escalation. Ukraine is doing what it needs to do to be successful on the battlefield," Singh said.
She added that the United States will continue to support Ukraine in whatever way it needs.
