Britain prepares for potential evacuation of citizens from Lebanon
The UK is preparing for the potential evacuation of its citizens from Lebanon, with more than a thousand military personnel expected to be involved in this operation.

More than a thousand British soldiers are preparing to launch an operation to evacuate British citizens from Lebanon if necessary.
Such preparations began after the Foreign Ministry warned that the situation could rapidly deteriorate.
On Saturday, official London, like many other capitals, urged its citizens in Lebanon to leave before it becomes a problem.
Last week, the British Foreign Secretary said in Parliament that there are approximately 16,000 Britons in Lebanon.
The Royal Air Force base in Akrotiri could become a "hub" for the operation. The base is home to fighter jets that were involved in repelling a large-scale Iranian air attack on Israel in April.
