The British Ministry of Defense has confirmed that Ukrainian troops can use British weapons on Russian territory to defend themselves.
This was stated by a spokesperson for the British Ministry of Defense, as quoted by the BBC, according to Yevropeiska Pravda.
According to the spokesperson, Ukraine has “a clear right to self-defense against Russia's illegal attacks... which does not exclude operations on Russian territory.”
“We clearly state during the transfer process that the equipment will be used in accordance with international law,” the spokesman added.
Ben Wallace, the former defense secretary, has previously said that all weapons supplied to Ukraine by the UK, with the exception of the long-range Storm Shadow missiles, could be used in Russia.
