Bulgaria to ban imports of Ukrainian sunflower until December

Bulgaria will ban the import of Ukrainian sunflower for two months, and after that, the import of certain agricultural products from Ukraine will be subject to a licensing regime in accordance with Ukraine's proposal to the European Commission.

According to Yevropeiska Pravda, this became known from a communiqué about a conversation between Bulgarian Agriculture Minister Kirill Vatev and his Ukrainian counterpart Mykola Solsky.

Minister Vatev familiarized his Ukrainian counterpart with the memorandum signed between the government and the initiative committee of farmers, which provides for a ban on sunflower imports from Ukraine until the end of November, the statement said.
