Canada punishes Lukashenko's son

On August 9, Canada imposed new sanctions against the Lukashenko regime on the 4th anniversary of the rigged presidential election in Belarus. In particular, Alexander Lukashenko's youngest son, Nikolai, was subject to restrictions.

Details: Canada's sanctions list includes Belarusian judges who arbitrarily sentenced democracy defenders and ordinary citizens for participating in the 2020 protests, and "individuals who coordinate military production in Belarus in close coordination with Russia."

The detailed list of sanctioned individuals mentions Nikolai Lukashenko, specifying that he is also known as "Kolya Lukashenko," as the media often refer to the son of the Belarusian dictator.
