China comments on the explosion of Kakhovka HPP

Jun 7, 2023

China called on "all sides" to be committed to a political settlement of the so-called "Ukrainian crisis" (as Beijing calls the war of fascist Russia against Ukraine) and to help ease the situation.

This is how official Beijing reacted to the blowing up of the Kakhovka hydroelectric dam. In particular, this was stated on Tuesday, June 6, in the office of the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China at the request of Ukrinform regarding the environmental disaster created by the Russians in Ukraine.

"Under the current circumstances, we hope that all parties will be committed to a political settlement of the Ukrainian crisis and will contribute to easing the situation," the Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a written response.

In other words, China has simply repeated the same phrase that it uses on every occasion and in every reaction to the situation regarding the war in Ukraine. Nothing new, as if no environmental catastrophe or another Russian crime had occurred...

Beijing monotonously talks about the need for negotiations, which can only lead to a freeze in the war, the seizure of our territories, and, after a while, a new war.
