It is noted that in Moscow, Li Hui "exchanged views on the political settlement of the Ukrainian crisis" with Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his deputies Andriy Rudenko and Mikhail Galuzin.

During the talks, Li noted that in the issue of the "Ukrainian crisis," China has always adhered to the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, an objective and fair position, and "has always stood firmly on the side of peace and dialogue."

"Based on the document China's Position on the Political Settlement of the 'Ukrainian Crisis' (the so-called peace plan of China - ed.), China is ready to strengthen exchanges and dialogue with all parties, including Russia, and make efforts to resolve the Ukrainian crisis politically," the Chinese diplomat said.

It is noted that the Russian side thanked China for contributing to the peaceful settlement of the "crisis in Ukraine" and stated that it "will continue to adhere to the direction of its political settlement and will continue to strengthen communication and coordination with China."

On May 26, Chinese government special envoy Li Hui concluded his ten-day mission to Moscow, during which he visited Kyiv, Warsaw, Paris, and Berlin, and met with EU officials in Belgium to present Beijing's vision of how to end the war in Ukraine as soon as possible.
