On Wednesday, Croatian Defense Minister Mario Banožić, on an unannounced visit to Ukraine, said that Zagreb is currently considering providing Kyiv with Mi-8 helicopters and assistance with demining.
Banožić said this at a press conference in Odesa.
Speaking about ways to support Ukraine, the Croatian defense minister mentioned the more than 25 years of experience in humanitarian demining that his country has as a result of the 1992-1995 Serbian-Croatian war.
"Our experience of the war in the 90s is the reason why we know what is happening (in Ukraine - ed.) and why you are right. It also includes care for veterans and post-war activities such as demining," he emphasized.
