Aug 7, 2023

On Air Force Day, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky saw the simulator handed over to Ukraine by the Czech Republic to train pilots to operate Western-style F-16 aircraft.

This is reported with reference to the website of the Presidential Office.

"Using this simulator, the Ukrainian military is currently studying the features of modern equipment and its capabilities," the President's Office said.

During the inspection of samples of weapons and military equipment, Zelensky tested the operation of the complex in practice and hit one of the virtual targets, a Tu-95.

As a reminder, the Allies have decided to train Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighters. This happened after the initiative was approved by U.S. President Joe Biden.

The President of Ukraine said that training of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on American F-16 fighters would begin in August.
