Sep 20, 2022

Eight countries, including Ukraine, have joined the decision of the EU Council to expand the sanctions list in connection with the Russian aggression against Ukraine.

This, according to the European Pravda, is stated in the declaration of the high representative of the EU.

On September 1, 2022, the EU Council added three people responsible for actions undermining or threatening Ukraine's territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence to the list of persons, organizations, and bodies subject to restrictive measures.

"EU candidate countries North Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania and Ukraine, potential candidate country Bosnia and Herzegovina and European Free Trade Area countries Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway accede to this Council decision," the document says.

It is noted that these countries will ensure that their national policies comply with this Council Decision.
