Elimination of the Black Sea Fleet will bring Russia's defeat closer

Sep 17, 2023

The military-political leadership of the Russian Federation does not understand any other language than the language of force and weapons. Thus, a strategic turning point in a full-scale war can become the task of the Defense Forces of Ukraine to inflict significant damage on the Russian invaders, in particular, their Black Sea Fleet.

This was stated by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, RBC-Ukraine reports with reference to his blog on "Ukrainian Pravda".

In this context, the government official emphasized the importance of providing Ukraine with timely assistance with weapons from allies and partners, which would significantly accelerate the defeat of the interventionist forces and the de-occupation of Ukrainian territories, as well as the advent of a just peace.

"Therefore, the Peace Formula is a weapons formula. The sooner Ukraine gets enough modern weapons, the sooner we will restore peace, which will be safer for Europe and the world," Danilov noted.

According to him, the more convincing the superiority of Western weapons in the hands of Ukrainians on land, sea, and air will be for the Russian Federation, the closer it will be to achieving Ukraine's strategic goals, which coincide with the goals and values of the democratic world.

"For example, the complete or partial liquidation of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, which is a solvable task, should significantly speed up the process in Russia of finding a way out of the ongoing war," the NSDC secretary explained.

He also added that this could be a good demonstration of Rosarmia's lack of capabilities to "adequately counter Western technologies, which would paint a very sad picture of further events."

At the same time, Danilov called the practice of rationing military aid to Ukraine "fundamentally false" for reasons of fear, so as not to irritate (Russian dictator Vladimir) Putin and provoke Russia to further escalation.

"Refusal or delay in the transfer of modern weapons to the Ukrainian armed forces is a direct encouragement of the Kremlin to further war, and not the other way around," he stressed.
