The European Commission has allocated Ukraine the fourth tranche of macrofinancial assistance of 1. 5 billion euros.
This was reported with reference to the Vice-President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis on Twitter.
Ukraine received a new tranche under the MFA+ credit program, which provides for the fulfillment of certain conditions and is not linked to the IMF monitoring program.
"This regular EU support helps Ukraine meet financial needs, such as paying salaries, pensions, and repairing critical infrastructure," Dombrovskis wrote.
Thus, EU payments within the framework of macrofinancial assistance this year will already reach 7.5 billion euros.
As a reminder, in December 2022, the EU countries supported the provision of 18 billion euros of macrofinancial assistance to Ukraine for 2023.
