After falling by about 29% last year, the Ukrainian economy is expected to "grow by 0.6% this year and by 4.0% in 2024," said European Commissioner for Economic Affairs Paolo Gentiloni, presenting the data.

According to Gentiloni, Ukraine's economy, which was attacked by Russia, has proved to be extremely resilient.

However, the outlook for Ukraine is "subject to extreme uncertainty and crucially depends on the evolution of the war," the European Commission acknowledges in its spring report.
