First Abrams tanks to arrive in Ukraine next week – Biden
President of the United States Joe Biden said that the first Abrams tanks will arrive in Ukraine next week.
This is reported with reference to the White House.
"The first Abrams tanks will arrive in Ukraine next week," Biden said during an expanded bilateral meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House.
The American leader emphasized that the United States remains committed to supporting Ukraine's efforts to defend itself against Russian invasion.
As a reminder, the United States has promised to provide Ukraine with 31 Abrams tanks. Recently, a Pentagon spokesman said that the Abrams would be delivered to Ukraine in the coming days and weeks.
US President Joe Biden announced a new $325 million military aid package for Ukraine. According to Blinken, the military aid package includes additional air defense munitions to help strengthen Ukraine's air defenses against Russian air strikes now and in the winter.
