The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine warns foreign diplomats against participating in a propaganda trip to deported Ukrainian children planned by the Belarusian regime.
"According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, on October 4, the Belarusian side intends to organize a visit by representatives of the foreign diplomatic corps accredited in Minsk to the so-called "places of residence, education and rehabilitation" of Ukrainian children in Belarus who were taken from the temporarily occupied by Russia cities of Lysychansk and Sievierodonetsk," the Foreign Ministry said in a commentary.
The measure is aimed at legalizing the illegal transfer of Ukrainian children from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. According to international law, the forced deportation of children can be qualified as a war crime.
"To avoid responsibility, officials in Belarus are trying to hide behind international representatives. We call on foreign states whose diplomatic missions have received appropriate invitations to Minsk to refrain from participating in the Belarusian regime's propaganda trip," the foreign ministry said.-
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that both the national investigation and the International Criminal Court investigation will continue to work to bring to justice all those who committed crimes against Ukrainian children.
