French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu arrived in Kyiv. The official will meet with his Ukrainian counterpart Rustem Umerov and Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshyn to discuss military assistance to Ukraine.

Upon arrival in the Ukrainian capital on Thursday, September 28, the French minister visited the memorial to warriors killed during the Russian invasion in the center of Kyiv and laid a wreath.
According to the French media outlet 20minutes.fr, Lecornu will speak in Kyiv about the evolution of French assistance to Ukraine to repel Russia's large-scale military aggression.
Along with the head of the French Defense Ministry, representatives of two dozen defense companies also arrived in Kyiv to discuss assistance to Ukraine and industrial partnership.
It is noted that representatives of about twenty French companies specializing in the production of armored vehicles, artillery, unmanned aerial vehicles, cyber and munitions are to discuss and sign partnerships with representatives of Ukrainian industry.
Earlier today, UK Secretary of State for Defense Grant Shapps also arrived in Kyiv. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with him.
