G7 interior ministers condemn Russia's crimes in Ukraine

The G7 interior ministers, following consultations in Hesse, Germany, have issued a joint statement condemning Russian crimes in Ukraine and expressing their intention to combine efforts to combat Russian disinformation.

"Images of brutal crimes against civilians and the destruction of civilian infrastructure in Ukraine continue to reach us daily. This must stop, Putin must end this brutal war," said German Interior Minister Nancy Feather.

She said the G7 interior ministers exchanged views on "how we can further advance the investigation of war crimes and crimes against humanity so that war criminals will one day be brought to justice.
