Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili has praised Russia's decision to resume direct flights and abolish visas for Georgian citizens.
Garibashvili's statement was quoted by the Novosti Georgia portal.
"This is a positive fact and a positive decision... All decisions that will make life, moving, and doing business easier for Georgian citizens are positive and welcome. We have repeatedly said, and you all know, that there are a million ethnic Georgians living in Russia, compatriots who have family members, relatives, and friends in Georgia, and the abolition of the visa regime will simplify travel," he said.
