At the end of August, Moldova is expecting visits from German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the presidents of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania - Alar Karis, Edgars Rinkēvičs and Gitanas Nausėda.
This was reported by the administration of the President of Moldova, Evropeiskaia Pravda reports.
Scholz will arrive in Moldova on August 21 at the invitation of President Maia Sandu. This visit emphasizes the strong bilateral relations between the two countries - Germany is one of the most important partners of Moldova in the process of modernization and accession to the European Union, the administration noted.
The last bilateral visit of the German Chancellor to Moldova took place 12 years ago.
Also, on August 27, on the occasion of Independence Day, the presidents of the three Baltic states will visit Moldova. The presence of these leaders in Chisinau is proof of the constant and firm support that the Baltic states provide to Moldova on its European path, the administration noted.
