German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius arrived in Ukraine on an unannounced visit. He wants to reaffirm his support for Ukraine.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to ntv.
The politician arrived in the capital Kyiv by train early in the morning. During the day, he will meet with his Ukrainian counterpart Rustem Umerov and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The main topics of the trip are the training of Ukrainian soldiers and military assistance. The minister's visit is also intended to reaffirm Germany's support for Ukraine.
The plans include laying wreaths on the Maidan, where Euromaidan began ten years ago, and visiting a Ukrainian military training ground.
This is Pistorius' second visit to Kyiv since taking office as defense minister. The last time he was in Kyiv was in February. He presented then-Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov with a Leopard 2 toy tank.
