Sarah Wagenknecht, co-founder of the far-left party "Sarah Wagenknecht Alliance" (BSW), believes that the German government could save money by cutting several budget items, including aid to Ukraine.
According to Yevropeiska Pravda, this was reported by ntv.
Given the doubts about the feasibility of the current draft budget from the government coalition, Sarah Wagenknecht indirectly suggests saving money on aid to Ukraine.
"We could save between 30 and 50 billion euros next year by changing course in Ukraine, immigration and energy policy - through peace talks in Ukraine, a significant reduction in the number of asylum seekers and the abolition of the heating law," she said.
Discussions on the draft budget for next year have recently resumed in Germany.
