Since the beginning of Russia's aggressive war, Germany has accepted 750 wounded people from Ukraine and neighboring countries for treatment.

Tagesschau reports.

Sometimes very seriously injured and traumatized people were taken out of the war zone "so that they could receive the best possible medical treatment from us," said Federal Minister of the Interior Nancy Feser.

So far, about 2,250 patients from Ukraine have been received in the EU and other countries that support them.

Germany has taken in the most wounded, followed by Norway (about 250), Poland, and Spain (both about 230), the German Interior Ministry explained.
