Germany on Putin's nuclear plans: another attempt at intimidation

The German government has interpreted Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin's statement about the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus as "another attempt at nuclear intimidation."
This is reported by Tagesschau.
The Kremlin's nuclear rhetoric is irresponsible, a spokeswoman for the Federal Foreign Ministry said at a press conference.
"Of course, we will not allow this to distract us from our course of supporting Ukraine in its self-defense," she emphasized.
The Federal Defense Ministry spokesperson added that Putin's statement did not change the assessment of the situation regarding the nuclear threat.
