"The villages are very badly destroyed, some settlements are simply wiped off the face of the earth. [...] People are trying and trying to leave, sometimes by their own cars, but because of the weather they could not do it or because of the shelling. Sometimes there are just private cars on the roads - they are abandoned, there are huge suitcases inside, their things, but no one is there, because people were either walking in the fields, or somewhere the military helped and took people out so that they did not come under fire," - Haidai said.

The head of the regional administration noted that the situation in the de-occupied part of the region is difficult, but there are still people who do not want to leave.

"It is better to leave at least for the time being, until the front line has moved a little further because sometimes the arrivals to the recently de-occupied settlements are quite powerful and come with whole packages of "Grad". This is quite a dangerous weapon, and a lot of civilians, unfortunately, die when they go outside to solve their everyday problems," he explained.

Haidai stressed that the arrivals are unexpected, and "no one warns, there are no air raids."
