Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov is convinced that if Russia were to seize Ukraine, the next country it would attack would be Kazakhstan.
He expressed this opinion on the air of the United News telethon, Ukrinform reports.
"I can say with certainty that if Putin succeeded in seizing the territory of our country, Kazakhstan would be the next country to be attacked. Moreover, he would not stop at Armenia or other countries," Danilov said.
At the request of the host, he commented on the visit of the presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, the Armenian prime minister, and the self-proclaimed president of Belarus to the May 9 parade in Moscow:
"I don't know what prompted them to come there. Let's see how the events unfold."-
The NSDC Secretary also noted that Russia is not having any success in the war so far. For example, in the morning, the enemy fired missiles at Ukraine, but even here the Russians hardly succeeded in realizing their plans. "As for the frontline, they have been trying to capture Bakhmut for a long time, but it is a city of our honor, our pride, and our heroes. They have not even managed to do that," he emphasized.
