If we do not approve aid to Ukraine, it will open a Pandora's box

U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has emphasized the importance of continuing to support Ukraine so that Russia will be defeated in its aggression.

According to Yevropeiska Pravda, Blinken said this at an event organized by the Washington-based nonprofit organization US Global Leadership Coalition.

He stated that the termination of support for Ukraine would allow Russian President Vladimir Putin to continue his aggressive plans with impunity.

"We must ensure that Ukraine continues to succeed. We must ensure that Russia continues to fail... If we don't, Putin will be allowed to act with impunity, opening a Pandora's box of aggression around the world," the Secretary of State emphasized.

He added that additional funding is also important for Israel, as well as for civilians in Gaza.

As you know, the issue of protecting the southern border of the United States has become a key source of disagreement between Democrats and Republicans in Congress, which is currently hindering the approval of the White House's additional financial request to help Ukraine.

Republicans are demanding stricter requirements for newcomers to stop migration, even at the expense of violating US humanitarian obligations, while Democrats are advocating a comprehensive review of the migration system as such.
