In occupied Kherson and Melitopol, people are deprived of rubles

Citizens living in the occupied territories of Kherson and Zaporizhzhya regions began to lose rubles massively.

At first, the occupants artificially inflated the exchange rate of their currency in the occupied Ukrainian territories.

"But now everyone understands that de-occupation of the Kherson region, followed by Melitopol region, is inevitable. Therefore, the rate has changed dramatically. In Kherson, they already give 5 rubles per hryvnia, and at gas stations, they refused to accept Russian money at all," Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov said in Telegram.

In Melitopol, the Russian ruble did not become the main currency - sellers preferred hryvnia in markets and shops.

The "ruble patrol" created by the occupiers does not help to spread the invaders' currency. And now people are in a hurry to get rid of rubles and keep hryvnias because they believe that de-occupation is close.
