In Romania, in January, for two years to simplify the situation of the population and businesses will be introduced marginal prices for energy.
This is reported by Digi24.
The grace period will run from January 1 to March 31, 2025, automatically, without the need to apply (except for some categories), depending on the volume of consumption of a particular consumer.
The maximal price limitation will be 0,68 MDL per kilowatt-hour, VAT included, for households that consume less than 100 kilowatt-hours per month, as well as for those who consume more, but use specific medical equipment at home due to health conditions, or have three children (including those under 26 years old, if they are still studying) or are single parents.
For consumers consuming over 100 to 225 kilowatt-hours per month, the price cap will be 0,80 lei per kilowatt-hour; up to 300 kilowatt-hours - 1, 3 lei per kilowatt-hour.
