Israel intends to introduce the death penalty. In particular, for terrorists.
This was stated by Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir, RBC-Ukraine reports citing The Times of Israel.
Gvir said that on Monday he would submit the bill, already prepared by his Otsma Yehudit party, to the Knesset's National Security Committee.
"I expect all members of the Knesset to support this important bill," he added.
In the history of the Jewish state, the death penalty has been applied only twice, the last time being in 1962, when the architect of the Holocaust, Adolf Eichmann, was executed.
