The IDF discovered a tunnel passage used by Hamas inside Al Shifa Hospital in the Gaza Strip.
This was reported by Reuters.
The video, published by the Israeli military, shows, according to them, the entrance to the tunnel in the open area near Al Shifa Hospital, the largest hospital in the Gaza Strip.
The footage shows a deep hole in the ground, surrounded by concrete, wood chips, and sand, which appears to be the site of an excavation. A bulldozer can be seen in the background, allegedly indicating that work is underway in the area, according to the report.
The Israeli army reported that its troops also found a vehicle with a large number of weapons at the hospital.
In a statement late Thursday night, Hamas denied statements by the Pentagon and the US State Department that the organization was using Al Shifa hospital for military purposes. They called them a "clearly false story" that was demonstrated by "weak and foolish actions by representatives of the occupying army".
White House spokesman John Kirby said on Thursday that the United States has full confidence in its intelligence assessments of Hamas' activities in Al Shifa hospital. He emphasized that there are no plans to disclose or clarify this information.
