One of the world's largest producers and exporters of sunflower oil, Kernel Holding S.A., has reported damage to its plant in western Ukraine due to an attack by Russian drones. As a result, the facility has been suspended.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the company's information that appeared on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
The company noted that the fire caused by the attack was extinguished.
"Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of the attack," the statement said.
Currently, Kernel employees are assessing the amount of damage. The plant, located in Khmelnytsky region, is Ukraine's largest oil extraction plant, Starokonstantinovsky Oil Extraction Plant, which began operations in April this year.
