Kharkiv MP, who opposed the sovereignty of Ukraine, resigned

In the near future, the Rada will consider a draft resolution on the early termination of the powers of the People's Deputy of Ukraine Dmytro Shentsev. This was announced by MP Oleksandr Bakumov in his Telegram.

"There is information that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine received a statement from Shentsev D.O. on the resignation of the People's Deputy of Ukraine. If so, the Parliament will soon consider the Resolution on early termination of the powers of the People's Deputy," - the statement reads.

Dmytro Shentsev was elected as a People's Deputy of the IX convocation in the 176th constituency in Kharkiv region from the Opposition Bloc party. As a People's Deputy of Ukraine of the sixth and seventh convocations, he served as Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement.

On January 18, 2018, he was one of 36 deputies who voted against the Law on the recognition of Ukrainian sovereignty over the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
