The Kherson region authorities are aware of 245 orphans and children deprived of parental care who are in Russia or in the temporarily occupied territories as a result of deportation.
According to Ukrinform, this was announced at a press conference by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.
"We continue to work to ensure that every person, every child illegally detained by the aggressor country returns home... Currently, we know about 245 orphans and children deprived of parental care who are either in Russia, in the occupied Crimea, or in the occupied part of the Kherson region - the left bank," Prokudin said.
According to him, 51 young residents of the region have already been returned. Earlier, 32 children were returned.
